Hindus in Politics: Battle Of Will And Survival
It is said that 'No one is defeated without until they are defeated within' — something we need to keep in mind. It is all the more important to know this for all the Hindus here in the USA, who form a very tiny population (and spread out).
While the discussion is about Republican/Democrat parties, and rightfully so due to the elections in 'binary' Democratic System of America, we need to first understand that the Binaries of the American Society, be it Republican — Democrat, Conservative — Progressive, Left Wing — Right Wing, Communist/Socialist — Capitalist etc are all different ideas emanating from the same Exclusivist/Totalitarian Abrahamic Binary thought process and system — with each 'side' seeking to 'convert' or 'eliminate' the other. All of those ideas in a sense are at best 'very poorly' compatible with Dharmic principles, which is highly 'Multi-dimensional, Diverse and Colorful' besides also being Inclusive and Assimilative in its philosophy and thought. So Hindus/Dharmics are specially and uniquely placed in this system as being the only 'neutral' and 'free/new thinking' group. If we stick together by adhering to those principles we will be the natural change makers and peace makers of the society, but if we compromise on it, then we will be the first scapegoats eaten away by these binary ideologies and systems. Remember that the rudimentary/archaic forces of Abrahamic Binary thought process always look for 'new recruits' and come up with ways and means to attract them — including aggressive coercion and cajoling to outrightly luring and purchasing the tribal 'loyalty' and 'adherence'.
There are generally speaking and broadly three forces in American 'Binary' Society that are of immediate relevance to Hindus/Dharmic people -
Force 1 — Right Wing Christianity (Republican Side)
The 'Right Wing' Christianity with its army of Missionaries and Money is indeed a threat to our culture and civilization — exemplified by their total annihilation of nearly all European Cultures/Civilizations and beyond. They have always been that way and are now predominantly on the Republican Side.
Force 2 — Left Wing Socialists (Democratic Side)
The Left Wing Socialists have an obvious upper-hand, with generous support from their powerful Communist 'Mother Ship' China — threatening not just the polity of the USA but also directly threatening India. Communist China being India's neighbor under the current cloud of imminent war makes it the highest threat to us at the moment. The Indo-China war is inevitable and will be sooner than later, with $100s billion in CPEC investment threatening India inside POK.
Force 3 — The Independents (Our Natural Allies)
The 'Independents' of America are slowly growing to be a force by themselves. These people are truly our friends — annoyed in no less measure by the above two 'Binary' forces. These are the people we need to nurture, work with, and rely on to make the real change in America towards a more peaceful and prosperous country.
It's very important to understand what and who the friends and threats are in this Country. America is the most diverse Nation in the west and in the world it's second only to India. Like India for the world, America too is pluralistic and is an experiment in the west to see if people of diverse cultures, races and ethnicities can coexist. As Hindus/Dharmics it's imperative that we understand first and foremost that this experiment simply can not fail! We must believe in the idea of America and work for it's success!!

We should be very proud that many of our fellow Indian-Amaricans have penetrated well into both 'Binary' parties — which is very good. To that effect, the problem here seems to be their conduct — before and after they get into those parties — wherein they not only appear to detach themselves from their cultural roots but also seem to take antagonizing stance against the Hindu/Dharmic community. And then there are ideological party stances that seem to threaten and contradict with our community and principles — which they seem to not only embrace but also participate enthusiastically. What we need in our community is questioning and asking for an explanation from the people who deeply and unconditionally support a candidate/party. Particularly of people who support these candidates/parties who at least appear to be threatening to us and also appear to have compromised their Dharmic values and principles. I think that's a fair request, and a good discussion can ensue by simply focusing on giving an argument supporting their respective stances.
On a general note, I hope we all can be in agreement with this thought -
If they feel that they've somehow and anyhow penetrated into the system through those gross and core compromises — they must certainly learn from our recent 1000 year history that it has always been the case in India starting from the many kings joining with Muslim invaders, to going all the way to Nehru mimicking Britishers — all of them did the same. That's just a slow enslavement of our community going in relatively little painless steps.
There is a very fine and subtle line between —
To be able to differentiate between the above, is where lies our strategy in dealing with the threats that our community faces.
For Dharma … NOW and FOREVER!!
